Community Involvement

Looking for things to do….here’s a few!

One of the best benefits of living in The Point is that it offers a wide variety of activities and functions that give us the opportunity to become a part of an active and vibrant community. Here are a few ideas to consider that might be of interest to you.

Coffee and Connections

This is a group that is open to all women in the community and gives them the opportunity to “mingle and get to know one another”. This event is held at various locations on the first Thursday of each month from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. For more information, please contact Margot Phillips at [email protected]

Mah Jongg- Beginner and Advanced

This group meets every Wednesday at 1:00 in the TNGC Dining room. Please contact Claudia Applebaum ([email protected]) or Kathy Schwartz ([email protected]) for more information.

Table for Eight at The Point

This great activity for all residents of The Point is an opportunity to make new friends while having dinner in groups of eight within an intimate home environment… good food, a glass of wine, and great conversations! This activity is open to everyone, and has grown over the years to include over 60 households. If you would like to participate, please contact Debbie Wood or Donette Dewar Black at ([email protected]).

Wine-ing Women

Yep, it is what it sounds like. So if you’re a woman who likes a little wine, friendship, and fun…..this is something you will want to consider. This group meets once a month at various homes in The Point. For more information, please send Laura Ruby a quick email ([email protected])

The Central Lake Norman Golden Boys (CLNGB) is a social organization for men of similar interest in the Mooresville/LKN region. General meetings are held at the Finish Line restaurant in Mooresville on the 2nd Friday of each month starting at 9:00 AM.  But plan on getting there early to have breakfast with fellow members. You can join the Lake Norman Golden Boys by simply attending a monthly breakfast meeting. There are a lot of current Point residents who belong to this group. This is a group of guys who enjoy doing things that are of interest to them. You can “pick and choose” the activities that who want to be a part of….there are far too many to list…..but you can check it out by going to clngb.com
