The Point Streetlight Replacement

The 267-streetlight replacement program has been in process for the last 3 weeks.  The existing specialty pole and fixture that was originally installed are no longer available.  The new pole and LED Deluxe Acorn fixture are a standard offering from Duke.  Future issues that may occur with the streetlight can be corrected in days versus months.
The replacements are being installed on existing bases.  However, any property owners landscaping or interference caused by overhanging trees will be removed by the installers to accommodate the installation.  We do not foresee that this will be a problem.

The completion is projected to be by the end of March or sooner, depending on the weather.  If there are problems with the new streetlight after the installation, please contact Duke Energy at 800-769-3766 to provide the address or cross-street closest to the light that needs repair.
